1- Qualification title: Principles of Marketing:

The Level 2 BTEC Specialist Certificate in Principles of Marketing helps to boost learners’ career prospects by giving them the skills, knowledge and understanding that employers look for.

2- Qualification title: Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Social Networking for Business

Objective of the qualification The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Social Networking for Business is for learners who work in, or want to work in, the social media and digital marketing sector. It gives learners the opportunity to:

Develop knowledge and skills required for working in social media and digital marketing roles within a business.

3- Qualification title: Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Principles of Management

Objective of the qualification The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Marketing is for learners who work in, or want to work in, marketing, for example as a marketing assistant, market research assistant or events management assistant. It gives learners the opportunity to:

  • develop knowledge related to marketing, including marketing theory, digital marketing, market research and how to manage customer relationships
  • learn about the legal framework in which marketing operates and also about how legislation and personal responsibilities govern behaviour in the workplace
  • achieve a nationally-recognised level 2 qualification.

4- Qualification title: Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Principles of Management:

Qualification objective The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Principles of Management is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the occupational knowledge and attitudes that are required for employment in roles such as Trainee Manager and Assistant Manager. Learners may already be in employment in one of these roles, be newly appointed or have the intention to work in one of these roles.

5- Qualification title: Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award/Certificate in Principles of Team Leading

Qualification objective The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award/Cert in Principles of Team Leading are for learners who work in, or who want to work in the business and professional management sector. They give learners the opportunity to:

  • develop knowledge related to team leadership styles, the roles and responsibilities of a team leader, planning and allocating work, developing team performance, setting targets and monitoring the work of a team
  • learn about the core knowledge required to work as a Team Leader, Section Leader, Floor Leader, Trainee Supervisor, Call Centre Team Manager or Supervisor
  • achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification
  • develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning. The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Principles of Team Leading is for learners who would like an introductory qualification that includes the core knowledge of team leading. The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Team Leading is intended to allow greater breadth of study, as well as the possibility to explore more specialist areas such as health and safety and employee rights and responsibilities. Both the Award and Certificate are standalone knowledge qualifications that are not part of the Apprenticeship, but have been mapped to the knowledge covered within the Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading, which forms the competencies component for the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Team Leading. Learners choosing to study the Award or Certificate in Principles of Team Leading may choose to progress onto the full Apprenticeship.

6- Qualification title: Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Principles of Business Administration

Qualification objective The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Principles of Business Administration is for learners who want to work in, Business Administration. It gives learners the opportunity to:

  • develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to support working in business administration. This includes the principles and practices underpinning the core tasks and responsibilities as well as wider workrelated knowledge such as working in business administration, professional behaviour and providing administrative services
  • achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification
  • progress onto the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration is for learners who work in, or who want to work in, Business Administration in job roles such as: Administrator Business Support Officer Office Junior Receptionist It gives learners the opportunity to:
  • develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to support working in the job roles stated above. This includes the principles and practices underpinning the core tasks and responsibilities related to the job roles above as well as wider work-related knowledge such as creating documents, reception services, booking and making travel arrangements, employee rights and responsibilities, working with others in a business environment, supporting meetings and solving problems in a business environment.

7- Qualification title: Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Principles of Customer Service

Qualification objective The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Principles of Customer Service is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the underpinning knowledge and attitudes required for working within a customer service environment. The qualification is suitable for learners who want to work in customer service and who may already have some experience in a customer service-related role, and require a short course to help them better understand the concepts that inform the principles and practices of customer service. It gives learners the opportunity to:

  • develop knowledge of the role and function of customer service, the value of customer loyalty and how legislation affects customer service delivery
  • develop knowledge of the requirements for working in a customer-facing job role, including how to deliver reliable customer service, how to interact positively with customers and work effectively in a team delivering customer service
  • achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification. The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service builds on the focus from the Level 2 Award to provide learners with underpinning occupational knowledge and skills as well as wider knowledge and skills to support learners’ employability and career progression in the sector. The qualification is suitable for learners who may be seeking work within the customer service sector or who may already be employed in a customer service or cross-sector service-related role. It is also appropriate for up skilling individuals who are employed in a role that is predominantly operational or a skilled trade occupation, but which includes responsibility for delivering customer service functions directly to customers. The qualification allows the learner to gain the right level of occupational knowledge in customer service - ‘the basics of customer service’ - that appropriately complements a larger sector or industry-specific qualification and learning programme. It gives learners the opportunity to:
  • develop occupational knowledge and skills in communicating with customers, handling customer problems, supporting customer service improvements and direct selling Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award/Certificate in 7
  • develop knowledge and skills that support employability and career progression, including personal development, health and safety at work, rights and responsibilities at work and understanding employer organisations
  • achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification. Achievement of this qualification prepares learners for employment in the customer service sector for the potential job roles listed under Progression opportunities through Pearson qualifications, including a customer service apprenticeship, or for a cross-sector job role that involves elements of customer service delivery.
